Privacy policy
Plain-language notes on what we collect, where it lives in this static implementation, and the choices you have.
Scope & last updated
This policy applies to the TAVISH & CO. website (this current static implementation) and covers information handled when you browse the catalogue, search, save a wishlist, place a browser-stored order, subscribe to the newsletter or contact the studio.
Important: this build is a static website with no backend. Almost everything described below is stored in your own browser’s localStorage and never reaches a server. Where a production site would behave differently, we say so explicitly.
Information you provide
- Order details: name, mobile number, email (optional), delivery address, order notes and the pieces you choose — entered during checkout.
- Contact enquiries: name, email, optional mobile, topic and message typed into the contact form.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
- Browsing data: search terms you type, pages you visit and your bag/wishlist contents on this device.
We do not ask for or collect UPI PINs, card numbers or net-banking passwords. Checkout provides an order-specific UPI payment URI/QR; customers authorize payment in their UPI app. Payment is manually verified, and order data in this static version is stored in the current browser only.
How information is stored
Your bag, wishlist, browser-stored orders, newsletter entries and admin-area data are written to localStorage in the browser you are using, under keys beginning with tavish_. That data:
- is readable by anyone with access to this browser profile on this device;
- is not synchronised to an account, another device or a server;
- is cleared if you clear site data, use a private window, or switch devices or browsers;
- can be removed at any time from your browser’s site-data settings.
The admin area on this site is client-side: its login check runs entirely in the browser and provides no server-side access control. It should not be used for sensitive customer data.
Cookies & tracking
This build does not set first-party cookies and does not include advertising, analytics or remarketing pixels. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your browser’s IP address and user-agent when the stylesheet is requested.
Third parties
- Google Fonts — font delivery (Google LLC, privacy policy applies).
- WhatsApp — when you tap a WhatsApp button, you leave this site and message us on WhatsApp; Meta’s terms and privacy policy apply to that chat.
- Courier partners — in a production order, your name, address and mobile would be shared only with the courier delivering your parcel.
- Static hosting provider — the provider hosting these files may log IP addresses and request metadata for security and rate limiting.
Retention
Because locally stored data lives in your browser, it persists until you clear it. If you email or WhatsApp the studio, we keep that correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and for our records of order support, then delete it on request.
Your rights
You may ask us to correct or delete any personal information you have shared by email or WhatsApp, withdraw your newsletter consent, or simply clear this site’s data from your browser settings. We respond within a reasonable period, usually within 7 working days.
Children
The collection is intended for customers aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
This page may be updated as the site evolves. The version date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision; material changes will be highlighted in the announcement bar or by email to newsletter subscribers.
